What is an intensive driving course?
An intensive driving course is like a hitting the turbo boost button on your journey to getting a driver's licence. They're designed to teach you to drive confidently and safely in as short a time as you find comfortable.
Instead of spreading your driving lessons out over several months (or sometimes even years!), an intensive driving course fits all the essentials into a shorter period. We're talking about buckling up for longer sessions—usually a few hours a day—over 1 to 2 months, instead of taking the old-fashioned route of an hour or two a week.
10 hours Intensive course
10 hour intensive course £450 to be paid in advance
2 Month intensive course for a beginner.
6 to 8 hours lessons a week depending on your schedule, to complete 40 hours within 8 weeks and be test ready. £2,000
Payment to be made in advance.
What are the benefits of taking an intensive driving course?
The biggest benefit of an intensive driving course is the time period. Often, people who undertake a course will have a holiday booked off work, or will be close to returning to school or university. Instead of learning over a period of six to eight months, some prefer to squeeze driving into a smaller timeframe, meaning that everything can be done and dusted in less than 2 months.
At the beginning, learning to drive can be overwhelming. Intensive courses tackle this head-on, gradually increasing your confidence on the road as every day pass.
Should you take an intensive driving course?
Everyone works differently. Some people thrive off the pressure and wish to pass as soon as possible. Other people have learnt to drive in the past and want a quick re-cap and weeks’ worth of driving to get them back up to speed.
However, if you’ve got the time available, conventional lessons will allow you to experience a wide variety of weather and road conditions throughout your time as a learner. If there’s no rush, take your time.
